Gerda, or Mamma Gerda as she is knows as, and her husband Nicu are some of the agri-tourism pioneers in the area. Ms Gerda has inspired Slow Food International in Romania and she is considered one of the most talented and skilled chefs in the area. No. 22 in Viscri can accommodate up to 15 tourists, if you ever decide to spend the night in such a beautiful settlement and enjoy an authentic saxon meal in the yard, at a table shaded by the vine – home grown vegetables and fruits, poultry, lamb or pork dishes.
